The music party game you play on your phone, no cards needed
Hitify Play is a music party game that needs no cards and runs on phones in the browser. A song plays, nobody sees the year, and the group decides where it belongs. Pick one of three ways to play, from one shared phone to a party room on the big screen.
Free to try. Whoever starts the game logs in with an email code, no password. Players who join a party room need no account and no app.
Every round works the same way: you hear a 30 second preview of a real recording and have to place it in time. Sometimes that means finding the right spot on your own timeline of songs, sometimes it means naming the exact year before the clock runs out. Either way the whole room ends up arguing about whether that chorus is from 1987 or 1992.
That argument is why it works at a party. The rules fit in one sentence, nobody needs to know the artist, and you can start within a minute of picking a deck. Popular decks are free, and any playlist can become your own deck.
The three ways side by side

| Party room: Year Rush | 2 to 12 players | Big screen plus a phone each | Everyone guesses at once | A noisy, competitive crowd |

Which way should you play?
You have one phone and 2 to 8 friends
Go for Pass the phone. No setup, no big screen: the phone goes around the table and everyone builds their own timeline.
You have a TV or laptop and want a proper game night
Go for Party room: Timeline. The big screen shows the board, everyone places songs on their own phone and tokens let you steal.
You have a bigger group and want fast, loud rounds
Go for Party room: Year Rush. Everyone locks in a year at the same time and the closest guess takes the round.
How a game works
- 1
Pick a deck
Choose a popular public deck, or turn your own playlist into a deck.
- 2
Choose how to play
Pass one phone around the table, or open a party room where everyone plays on their own phone.
- 3
Listen and guess
A 30 second preview plays and nobody sees the year. Place the song on a timeline or lock in a year.
- 4
Reveal and score
Title, artist and year come out, the timeline grows or the points go up, and the next song starts.
The timeline in one look
A timeline is a row of songs in release order. You hear a new song, never its year, and decide where it fits between the songs already on the row. Get it right and the row grows.
Why it works at a party
No cards needed
Everything happens on screen, so there is nothing to print, shuffle or lose under the sofa.
Works in the browser
No app to install, not even for a party room. Open the page and play.
Three ways to play
One phone for a small group, or a party room with a big screen for a bigger crowd.
