Rock as a party game
Great for rock fans and theme parties
A deck full of rock hits keeps the argument going: who knows the riffs, who guesses the right year. Ideal for a night with friends who live for guitars.
Guess the year
Players guess the release year and place each card in the right spot on the timeline. A track from '72 feels nothing like something twenty years later.
Mix with the original Hitster
Our cards share the format and QR style of the original Hitster game: add your rock deck to an existing set or play it as a standalone pack.
Your own picks
No fixed list. You decide whether it stays pure classic rock or mixes in punk and indie. From stadium anthems to the underground.
Building a rock deck
A good rock deck spreads the styles and the decades. Put classic rock and blues rock from the 60s and 70s next to the punk and new wave of the late 70s, throw in some 90s grunge and alternative, then finish with modern indie rock. Choosing broadly keeps "guess the year" nicely tricky: an early riff sounds nothing like a record made today.
Keep it around 50 to 80 cards for a night that flows. Add a few forgotten B-sides to make even the die-hards hesitate. Ready to build? Start the cards, or first read how to make your own Hitster cards.

Really nice and easy!
Superfijn en makkelijk!
Very easy-to-use app. I especially like that you can submit a correction for the year, and if it's right it gets applied straight away. The different ways to vary the printout are great too. Highly recommended!
Sehr empfehlenswert!
