A music game for subscribers and members
Supporters like to feel closer to the person they support. A members-only music round, hosted by you, is a simple way to give them an evening of their own.
Free to try. Whoever starts the game logs in with an email code, no password. Players who join a party room need no account and no app.
Hitify has no member list of its own. The way to keep a round for supporters is to post the join link only where they are: a members-only chat, a supporters-only post or a subscriber-only stream. Anyone who has the link can join, so share it with care and open the room only when you are ready to start.
You can make the evening personal by building the deck from songs your supporters suggest, or from the soundtrack of your own channel. The leaderboard gives regulars a running joke, and a small prize or a role in your community turns winning into something worth chasing.
How to set it up here
- 1
Gather suggestions
Ask supporters for songs and turn the list into your own playlist deck, or choose a public deck.
- 2
Open the room at showtime
Start hitify.app/host, sign in with an email code, pick Party room: Year Rush and create the room.
- 3
Share the link where members are
Post hitify.app/j/ with the 4 letter code in the members-only space only, so the room stays yours.
- 4
Play, then thank them
Show the podium, thank the winners by name and tell people when the next round is.
The timeline in one look
A timeline is a row of songs in release order. You hear a new song, never its year, and decide where it fits between the songs already on the row. Get it right and the row grows.
What you need
A members-only place
A subscriber chat, a supporters post or a private stream.
A deck with a story
Songs your supporters chose or songs from your channel.
A short slot
About a quarter of an hour is enough for a satisfying round.
Tips for a better game
Open the room late
The link works for anyone who has it, so the later you post it, the fewer chances it travels.
Remove uninvited guests
If an unknown name appears in the lobby, remove it with the cross before you start.
Make prizes small and personal
A shout-out, a pick for the next stream or a role costs you nothing.
What streamers and communities should know
Viewers need nothing but a browser
No account, no download and no sign-up for players. They open a link or scan a QR code, type a name and play from a phone or a laptop.
The host screen is a normal web page
You show it with window capture, display capture or a screen share. There is no plugin, overlay or chat bot, and none is needed.
The app sets no player limit
The whole chat can join one room. Year Rush suits big crowds best, because everyone answers at the same time.
Frequently asked questions
Can I limit the game to paying members?
Hitify does not check who is a member. Anyone with the room code or link can join while the lobby is open, so keep the link in a members-only space and remove names you do not recognise.
Is it free for my supporters?
Yes. Players need no account and pay nothing. The first 100 cards of a deck made from your own playlist are free, and public decks are free to play.
Can I play the songs on my stream? What about music rights?
Hitify plays 30 second previews from music services in the browser tab of the host, so whatever your computer sound sends to your stream goes out with it. Hitify gives you no licence to broadcast music and cannot know what your platform allows. Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Discord, Zoom and others each have their own music rules and may mute, flag or limit streams and recordings. Check the rules of your platform before you go live. This is not legal advice.
Do viewers need an account or an app?
No. Viewers open the join link or scan the QR code in a browser on a phone or laptop, type a name and play. Nothing to install. Only the person who hosts signs in, with an email code and no password.
Ready to run a round for your chat?
Open the host screen, pick a deck and show the room code. You can have the first song playing within a few minutes.
