Make a Card Game From Your YouTube Music Playlist
Paste the link to a public YouTube Music or YouTube playlist and Hitify builds a guess-the-year card game from it. YouTube gives no clean artist or title, so we strip the "(Official Video) [HD]" decoration and match each track to a real recording. You see exactly how many matched. First 100 cards free.
Make Your Game, FreeFrom a YouTube playlist to printed cards
One link is all it takes. Hitify does the rest, including an honest report at the end.
Paste the playlist link
Works with music.youtube.com/playlist and with a plain youtube.com/playlist link. The playlist has to be public, otherwise we cannot read it.
Titles cleaned and matched
A video is rarely just called "Artist - Title". We strip decoration like (Official Video), [Lyrics] and [HD], then look up the recording behind it.
Cards are generated
Every matched track gets a QR code, artist, title and a verified release year. Pick a card style and download the PDF.
A YouTube import is not a Spotify import
No sales talk: this is exactly what happens to your playlist.
YouTube carries no ISRC
A video has no recording code and often no clean artist or title. That makes this the import most likely to leave some tracks unmatched.
You see what did not match
The importer reports how many videos matched and lists the ones that did not. A video with no equivalent gets no card instead of a wrong card.
The year never comes from YouTube
Once a track is matched, we verify its release year against MusicBrainz by ISRC. A video upload date says nothing about when the song came out.
The QR opens a Hitify page
Scan with your phone camera and the Hitify page plays the song. The in-app scanner also offers Tidal if you prefer it.
Where a playlist can come from
| Service | Playlist import | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Spotify | Cleanest import: artist, title and ISRC come straight from the service. | |
| YouTube Music and YouTube | Video titles are cleaned up and matched. Expect a few misses. | |
| Tidal | Playlist import works, cards play through Hitify. | |
| Deezer | Supported as of today. | |
| Apple Music | Catalogue playlists and playlists shared with a public link work. A private library playlist cannot be read: share it first and paste that link. |
Why not every video becomes a card
YouTube is a video platform, not a music catalogue. A playlist holds ordinary releases alongside live versions, sped-up edits, mixes, fan uploads and clips that were never released as a song at all. For a video like that, there is simply no recording to match it to.
We read the video title, strip the decoration and look up the recording behind it. When that fails, the video gets no card. That is deliberate: a wrongly matched card with the wrong year ruins your timeline, a missing card does not.
In practice, the tidier the titles in your playlist, the higher the hit rate. A playlist of official music videos yields far more cards than one full of live recordings and remixes from small channels.

This was an awesome idea. We love having game nights with our friends. We 10/10 recommend especially if you love music games as much as we do.
It works! Nice game for music lovers.
This site is awesome. So much fun to create your own cards and play them with friends. If I could give 6 stars I would.
I really useful for upgrade this game the official song card is a bit less
Amazing project. With just a few clicks your own Spotify playlist is turned into a Hitster game. Keep it up. The pricing is also really very fair
Easy to use, and the result is exactly what I expected!
Easy to use. Happy with my own cards.

Best app for creating cards for a music game!
It was really great. I made a birthday playlist for a friend, and with Hitify she could play her own personal Hitster. 🥰
Works great and nicely priced.
Really nice and easy!
So incredibly easy to do, and so much fun for adding a personal touch to a party, a special event or any other occasion. Really recommended. You can let your creativity run wild, or just go for convenience and let it do the work for you.
Nice to be able to turn your own playlist into a Hitster-like game. The only downside is that you hear the songs without the intro.
Being able to create new card packs for Hitster is a real treat. A great app.
Quick and smooth. Easy to create your own playing cards. There are no limits. I recommend it
Very easy-to-use app. I especially like that you can submit a correction for the year, and if it's right it gets applied straight away. The different ways to vary the printout are great too. Highly recommended!
Great service. It was super fast, it works without any problems and looks really great.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a game from my YouTube Music playlist?
Paste your public playlist link into Hitify. We read the videos, clean up the titles and match them to real recordings. Then you download the PDF with QR cards.
Does every video become a card?
No. YouTube gives no ISRC and often no clean artist or title, so this is the import most likely to drop tracks. Videos with no equivalent get no card and are listed by name after the import.
Does the card play the song on YouTube?
No. The QR code opens a Hitify page that plays the song. Every card is matched to a track on Spotify, and the in-app scanner also offers Tidal.
Where does the year on the card come from?
Not from YouTube. Once a track is matched, we verify its release year against MusicBrainz by ISRC. A video upload date is never used.
Does a plain youtube.com playlist work too?
Yes. Both music.youtube.com and youtube.com playlist links work, as long as the playlist is public.
Which other services can I import from?
Spotify, YouTube Music, Tidal, Deezer and Apple Music. For Apple Music we read catalogue playlists and playlists shared with a public link, but not a private library playlist: share it first and paste that link.
What does it cost?
Your first 100 cards are free as a PDF, no account needed. Printed cards and larger games can be ordered on top of that.
