Aftershock 2026: The West Coast's Biggest Rock, Punk & Metal Festival

Aftershock takes over Discovery Park in Sacramento, California, from October 1 to 4, 2026, for its 14th year running. What started as a single-day show in 2012 with about 13,000 fans has grown into the West Coast's largest rock, punk, and metal festival, pulling in fans from all 50 US states and more than 30 countries. In 2025 the festival broke its own attendance record with over 164,000 people across the weekend, and 2026 is shaping up to be even bigger.

The 2026 lineup spans four days and five stages with more than 140 bands. My Chemical Romance, The Offspring, and Sublime headline Thursday. Limp Bizkit, $uicideboy$, and Wu-Tang Clan take over Friday. Pierce The Veil, A Day To Remember, and BABYMETAL close out Saturday. Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, and composer Danny Elfman headline Sunday. Add Turnstile, Gojira, Marilyn Manson, Stone Temple Pilots, Public Enemy, Three Days Grace, Lamb of God, and Dream Theater (celebrating their 40th anniversary), and you get one of the widest genre spreads in rock: pop-punk, nu-metal, thrash, hip-hop, alternative, and prog, all on the same site.

What Is Hitster?

Hitster is the card game where every card links to a song via a QR code, and players guess the year it was released. Get the year right and place the card correctly on your timeline to keep it.
